Euripus:

a ditch
beyond which
zoo animals can't reach;
a ditch
around a colosseum arena;
the unnavigable stretch of sea
between Boeotia and Euboea.

In a zoo
a euripus
attractive can be,
and be of the deep-dry or watery type.

Its r-i-p is said 'ripe'.

On the occasion of coming across the word in my Chambers.
If they are not calling a zoo ditch a euripus,
now is the time to start.
