Europe 1945 - Poem by Joyce Hemsley

The diamond:

~Victory~
Came so suddenly
The lights returned again
No more victims crying with pain
Life was in clover, the war was over
Maytime had never been so fair
Voices prayed to heaven
Thanking God for
~Victory~
