Eve Of Valentine's Day Poem by Medha Upreti

Eve Of Valentine's Day

Rating: 5.0

Virtual 'Hello' on Day One,
their conversation continues
till eve of Day Seven.
He captures her attention,
distracts her completely,
crash landing in her life
quite unexpectedly.
Life is full of surprises.
Coffee meeting next day
turns into tea date.
He holds her hand.
Hand in hand they walk.
A courtyard cafe, bonfire in centre,
the two sit down for conversation.
Tea arrives in large cups.
He speaks softly, his words are few.
She talks and laughs more.
The cat sits at my feet
as I write this poem.
It's eve of Valentine's Day.
He has left.
She has fallen.
Life is cruel.
