Evening Note 20 - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Good evening darling one
I hope you're smiling
and feeling all my endless love.
I've been drifting in
and out of sleep and hoping
dinner will help my body
to begin relaxing and shut
down for a needed bout of sleep.
I wanted to check on you
before I once again attempt
to crash out to peaceful sleep
and say I love you darling and
wish you were here to cuddle
with as I lay here restlessly
so I could feel your love right here
and the beating of you heart next to me.
I miss you deeply and
hope our day is very near.
I love you deeply and am
always with you my sweet lady.
Feel my arms around you and
my hand firmly grasping yours.
Feel all my loving warmth surround.
I will try so hard to get my goodnight
piece up and if I don't I apologize,
it will be because I finally found sleep.
Have a pleasent night and feel the
warmth of my love and arms around you tight.
I give you this kiss before I eat
and hope to finally fall asleep.
I love you babe you truly are
so beautiful and great.
