So, How Do You Sleep Poem by Randy McClave

So, How Do You Sleep

How do you sleep at night
Do you sleep with fright,
Do you say your prayers
Hoping not for nightmares,
Do you weep
Before you go to sleep.
How do you sleep at night.

How do you sleep at night
Do you sleep with a light,
Do you toss and turn
Does your soul burn,
Do you stare at your ceiling
Because of an awful feeling.
How do you sleep at night.

How do you sleep at night
Do you sleep in quite,
Is your conscience clear
Do you not have no worries or fear,
You have done no ill or no wrong
Your mind sings a happy song.
How do you sleep at night.

How do you sleep at night
Do you sleep alright,
Are you not afraid to close your eyes
And greet a horrific surprise,
Maybe tonight is when your insomnia begins
When you remember all your sins.
How do you sleep at night.

How do you sleep at night
Is it with clarity and sight,
Did you always cross your "T" and dot your "I"
Maybe tonight your afraid that you will die,
Do you remember that pain and sorrow
Oh Yes! That will be tomorrow.
How do you sleep at night.
