Everlasting Love Poem by Nigar Sultana

Everlasting Love

Everlasting Love

Last night, I woke up from bed
And felt a kind of pain in my head,
My feelings was numbed and I sigh
Raindrops started shedding from one eye.

I felt empty in my whole being
And asked myself the cause,
The question was unanswered
It seemed time for some hours gave a pause.

Past standing liked a mirror before me
I couldn’t dare to see,
But one face appeared with all
And tore brutally my soul.

That face deceived me at once
By his words I moved like a toy,
Sweet words soothed my ear
Every moment was full of joy.

Love, the very word was in my mind
I adored only him like a blind,
The days haunted me day and night
Though now he lost from my sight.

My tears reminded me the feelings that are dead
Reminded me the love that was fake,
Whatever you done to me I forget
My heart still burning for your sake.
