Everlasting Sadness Poem by Kayla Kempf

Everlasting Sadness

They fell in love,
So quick and fast.
He was her every thing,
The moon and the stars.

When he told her the news,
Sadness grew in her eyes
She couldn’t see her life
Without him by her side.

Although his life was flying fast,
They made the minutes last.
He took her in his arms,
And he took it from there.

And with no warning at all,
He was gone.
His body empty of breath
No heart beat was left.
