Every Smile Poem by Jude Ogunade

Every Smile

EVERY SMILE
Every smile ingratiates.
Every smile captivates.
Every smile capacitates.
Every smile is capitulating.
Every smile is charming.
Every smile is disarming.
Every smile is friendly.
Every smile is not friendly.
Every smile is soothing.
Every smile is not soothing.
Every smile is uplifting.
Every smile is conceiving.
Every smile is happy?
Every smile is sad?
Every smile is potent.
Every smile is not loyalty.
Every smile is loyalty?
Every smile is agreeing?
Every smile is joy?
Every smile is jealous?
Every smile is envious?
Every smile is sun.
Every smile is moon.
Every smile is feeling?
Every smile is unfeeling?
Every smile is stealing?
Every smile is hacking?
Every smile reads.
Every smile is readable.
And please still smile,
And be wise to know the wiles.
For only the LIVING
smiles.

Everyone smiles
But who knows the wiles?
Everyone smiles
But who knows the strife?
Everyone smiles
But who knows the lives?
Everyone smiles
To hide the strife?
Everyone smiles
Perhaps to hide the lies?
Everyone smiles
Perhaps to hide the wiles?
Every smile hides the heart
And only the wise
Can see the mind
Behind every smile.
