Every Time My Mind Strayed Poem by Mohammad Younus

Every Time My Mind Strayed

Every time my mind strayed from the true path,
The unseen hand drew me gently, yet firmly, back.
When shadows gathered, and my thoughts spun webs of doubt,
I rose—each time more resolute, each time less bound.

Through battles unseen, I carved a place to stand,
Not by might alone, but by mercy's silent decree.
The hand that led me was not mine to command—
Yet it shaped the edge of every fall and lifted me anew.

Insha'Allah, a day will dawn, clear as morning light,
When the veils that shroud my essence will dissolve.
My mind, like glass under the hammer of truth,
Will fracture, scattering illusions to the wind.

And in that silence, what remains will be whole—
Not a fragment, but the fullness of who I am,
Standing in the clarity of a light long known,
Returning to the One I never truly left.
