Everyday Poem by Onyx Davis

Everyday

Rating: 5.0

Sitting up against my wall
Scared to even move
Hearing yelling down the hall
Don't even know what to do

Screaming, yellin, cursing
Knowing its all my fault
Wondering why the tears won't come
and praying that they don't

Beginning to hear things flying down the hall
Sometimes hitting someone
and sometimes hitting wall

I step outside my bedroom
hoping that'll make them stop
Then I hear someone crying
and I seem to blow my top

Cracking open up the door, I quickly peer inside
She's on the floor crying
and I think that I know why

She seems so sad and empty
quite misrable at best
I go to hold her gently
Her head laid on my chest

Holding back the tears
Putting on a brave face
I try to make her feel like
the world is wrapped in lace

Finally, its over
and one of them has won
It's feels almost as if
they think it's kinda fun
