Everyday’s Smile Poem by Ash Parker

Everyday’s Smile

I woke up this morning….
My clock forgot to do its calling…
That set me off timing.

Standing in the shower…
It felt like an hour,
The water kept getting colder…
I shuddered in confused stupor.

On my way to work…
A bus went by, what a jerk!
I was smothered in dirt.
Who cares! I smirked.

I entered the office,
Amid murmured whispers…
And shocked wonders…
What a sight of blunders!

I left a little late,
Spending my day in horrendous states.
But still raised my head up high.
Sending a perfect smile,
I looked up at the sky.
As I whispered with a determined sigh…

Come on fate, its never too late…
Is that the best you got?
Come on, give me your best shot!
