Evil Poem by Paul Warren

Why should evil exist at all
Surely God would stop it in the call
When people can be murdered
Or children sexually interfered

Is there a force for evil as there is for good
Where the devil controls as they could
And what do you do with these people
Can we change them in their mettle

What is it that makes people do evil things
Is it just acting on uncontrolled impulses that rings
When you look at the Nazis and what they stood for
This planning and systematic crime is something to deplore

If these people are wired differently from normal
It still doesn't explain why God allows it at all
With these extremes of human behaviour
Surely there is a reason why this should be succoured.
