Evil & Good6 Poem by ROGEL FRANCIS SORIOSO

Evil & Good6

You could never distinguish what is good unless there is evil and wickedness
Just like we would never know what is hate unless there is love and kindness
We would never know what is day unless there is a night
We would never know what is darkness unless there is light
You could never be a true hero unless there is a villain
You'll never know that you're wounded until you feel pain
Philosophers and Scholars had long argued about what is good or evil
And some religion even insist about the existence of the so-called devil
Why would even God condemn the souls of his people
As long as they walk with faith and in good principle
The personification of evil is not some sort of dark red or satanic entity
For matters only become evil because its against the law or authority
No one is trying to tempt you of doing what is wrong
For deep in your heart and soul you are free all along
So don't blame the devil or satan for cheating on your lovely wife
And you secretly express all the desires of your flesh in your life
For evil is an internal part of the centralized system
Feeding the good with responsibilities in every item
In the absence of evil the good would lose its function
No longer an action force without its evil conjunction
There are so many factors why such evil and wickedness still prevail
An irresponsible government where its people couldn't possibly avail
For evil could even lurk within the very church of God
Sucking every penny from the peoples sweat and blood
For evil has so many colors and faces
They're all around you in every places
Greedy and ambitious individuals who's desires are insatiable
Showing no compassion and mercy for they are all undesirable
In the absence of the Law and Order nothing would be evil or wicked
We could do almost anything we want and even walk the streets naked
For evil or wickedness is only a word that was defined with an objective
And when people do evil things we must also look at their own perspective
