The Dream Poem by ROGEL FRANCIS SORIOSO

The Dream

On December one two-thousand ten was a dream come true
Words of wisdom from the man I knew
The man I only saw on a picture
The man who holds the key to my future
The dream didn't last that long
But the message was so clear like a song
Most of the time he was just smiling
But soon enough he started to say something
It was something I did not expect
But what he said was something direct
I did not know what to say
So I just hugged him anyway
At first I did not recognize who he was
But then I remembered I've seen him in the past
I've seen him in a book, money and a temple
And seeing him in my dreams made me humble
He said this is just the beginning
So focus your eyes when your driving
For your most precious cargo is me
To be the son and father I wanted to be
