Evolving? Poem by Ananta Madhavan

Evolving?

If evolution can be trusted,
We must discard the idea of H.G. Wells
That you can travel back in Time.
How tiresome if it is reversible.
Perhaps Time is cyclical;
Trust your luck and expect
Each cycle to be different.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM

the difficulty of measuring the immeasurable, thanks to Poem-Hunter.
The notion popularised by HG Wells, of travelling back in Time, is fascinating, even a century after he lived.
