Existence Through Indifference Poem by M. Elaine Garcia

Existence Through Indifference

</>The constant
Battle
You can’t be you
What a cliché
Have you
Found
Who you
Are?
Yet…
You
Want to mold
Me
In your
Mirror image
Why can’t I
Be accepted
For me
Our similarities
Ignored
You decipher
Only differences
Barriers arise
Unpenetrable
You cannot
Change me
I have accepted
Not having
The ability to
Change you
Throw down
The gauntlet
For superiority
Meet halfway
To coexist
Together
