Exit Only Poem by John W. McEwers

Exit Only

I didn't turn down this road to just
you know,
double back.
No, no U-Turns for this man
and not because they are illegal in town,
I'd do it anyway,
that's not the point.

This is a one-way street, baby,
and my driving doesn't lie.
My steering column keeps me straight
but I think the radiator has a leak
and I'll get that fixed.
