Expectant Dog Poem by Alakesh Kalita

Expectant Dog

Rating: 5.0

Just for a break
from licking its own wounds
it licks on the bark of a tree
with inward thorns,
hoping so much
that the spot on the bark it licked on
soon becomes a wound itself
as fresh as and deeper than, its own.

Waiting as always
for numerous dung beetles
that come to adore the cakes of its droppings,
it falls in love
with once what it ate.

Motherliness is the same in all creatures-a dog, a human and else.......only character varies when they are just a woman or just a man. No one even God can touch this level of unfathomable love for kids may be its droppings on the stray ground of beetles and the bark here signifies the pain.10++ for the concept thought of.
