Experience Desire In This New Poem

DESIRE

In secret I seek you constantly
despite the times when I possess you with approval,
those times when in bold exposure you are mine.
The times when in unbridled passion I satiate my desire
but fail to quench the raging fire.

You are to me the grand temptation.
My eyes glide over your form in lascivious caress.
My senses in rapture devour your perfume
from when I wake until I rest from labour's drive,
as if all my dreams fulfilled have come alive.

In grand display clothed in a vast array of colours you come to me
jolting my recognition of you as if awaking from deep sleep.
Yet I am denied you oft' enough,
tormented, tantalised, straining for the reason,
Tortured, as if for some evil treason.

And I may touch you, hold you, fondle you,
as I slowly, delicately feel your skin
gazing in wonder at your beauty, knowing you again
the way I first discovered wild desire
when in my heart you lit the fire.

Moments of satisfaction grabbed in secret cold seclusion,
to have all of you is my most sad delusion.
I know you are not all that's good for me
you arouse in me both bad and good
you are my love, you are my food.
