Experience Life - Poem by Stephen Martin II

I stand at the top of the stairs and anticipate the fall
I anticipate the fall.

I imagine the bones that will break if I do it wrong

I choose my path

It s not really a dive.

I just let common sense slip,
and gravity take control.

I stand at the foot of the stairs and anticipate the kiss
I anticipate the kiss

I imagine the emotions that could flow if I do it right

It s not really a dive.

I just let restraint slip,
and nature take control.

but give me the oppurtunity for either
and i ll take it for what it is
