Death appeared one night
He stood outside my window,
And grinned his chilling smile towards me
He tapped for an entrance,
Who knew death had manners,
For he did,
He waited until I stood up,
And I let him in.
He climbed through the window
And took ahold of me with his bony hands
He led me many places,
And told me many things
For several minutes,
I knew the secrets of life
Of all the uncertainties and
All of the mistakes.
But then, he said goodbye,
And I awoke,
What a silly little dream I had.
