It began with a stare
Ogling her while she was unaware
A liking developed and spread like bush fire
You began tracing her steps
Turned into a shadow existing in her light
Tagging her by the day
Dreaming her in the night
Everything about her was right
Your love for her was strong
But fear was stronger
Then you noticed that she notices
Every time you steal some glances
Greeting your gaze with a smile
Inspired you made advances
In trying there is no shame
The rose was ripe for the picking
The heart was kicking
The clock was ticking
Fore head sweating
A beautiful scene in painting
You felt like fainting
But your heart was wanting
You asked her name for a starter
She responded with laughter
With it she rippled your heart
Crippled your courage
Then she demurely uttered
You learnt her name
Told her you loved her
Motionless for a moment
Her smile was wiped away
She hates to break hearts
She was already taken
You sank so low
You heard the dead singing
But inside you were proud
At least you emptied it all out
