Exsanguination Poem by Allyson Gordon

Exsanguination

Cutting deeper
Into pain’s keeper
Letting the blood run like rain
To release all the pain
Crying a river of tears
To alleviate our fears
Our breaking hearts
Tearing us apart
Our world crashing down
As we fall to the ground
Shattered and torn
Wishing we’d never been born
Everything’s such a mess
To death we say “yes”
Eyeing a blade
With the hope we’ll fade
Bleeding ourselves dry
One dropp at a time
Beginning our fall
There’s nothing at all
