Eye Bags Poem by chize ryan ogunkah

Eye Bags

Eye bags
They Have so many stories to tell
Of sleepless nights and total hell
from those hopeful thoughts yet painful toils
Of Adams curse to till the soil

Eye bags
Reveal the strains of parting pain
From lovers' hearts that bleed in shame
For scars that's made from hearts apart
Hoping to heal after he departs

Eye bags
From waiting nights and chasing life
From Aberdeen to his home in fife
And trailed along by unwedded wives
In spite of pledge to take a wife

Eye bags
They carry the pain of tomorrow's bliss
Whether you hit or run amiss
Will grace the lid of all that bleed
In that quest to meet tomorrow's need

Eye bags
When all is said and done at last
And the end they say was all a blast
The bag size Says how far you've come
Holding all trials before the glow (dawn)
