Eyes (Singularity) Poem by Alexander Thomas

Eyes (Singularity)

Out from the duct of the eye of time,
The slow trickle of a widening river of emotion,
Meandering from the dusty heavens sublime,
From the first drop into a boundless ocean,
A fountain of love into the cosmos to climb.

Light mixing in murky pools to make life teem,
The stirrings of immortal consciousness does reflect,
The flow of all things into the eye to stream,
The moment the tributaries of all existence connect,
And a glorious miracle now out a tear to gleam.

An immaculate breath the beaming clouds in the sky,
The blood and sweat of man's toil purified once again,
To flow down peaks and valleys to wash over your eye,
With the tides of aeons this cycle of redemption will rain,
To open up the wonder of all creation to make us cry.

From celestial furnace forged the most precious of gems,
Pouring from great nebulous flashes of seeing,
A veil creating a dazzling rainbow to bathe the lens,
Rays making glistening ripples in deep seas of being,
The flood of feeling to which a torrent of thought transcends.

Orbits aligned as we fall in shadow by our lover's gaze,
To look in epiphany upon the aura from once we came,
Beneath the eclipse to the primordial fire of the soul ablaze,
Into the blinking ethereal shimmer of life's enduring flame,
Through sensuous misty cloaks of a mystical seraphic haze.

Staring into the object the source of the most exultant bliss,
Back to the origin into which all nature's laws collapse,
Light and time swallowed into the inescapable black abyss,
Into many dimensions of dreaming and memory to relapse,
Peering into an internal world as our mind's eyes kiss.

In your eyes the solitude of all our cushioned dreams meet,
As separate worlds collide breaking waves on our island shores,
Under a twinkling canopy of intrinsic omnipotence to greet,
To remake the horizons of our reality and open new doors,
A pair of eyes and souls and now the search for self complete.

Inquisitively what spirit do I see in your eyes you ponder?
A compassionate heart as infinite as the universe shattered!
Radiant imagination reaching as far as the mind can wander!
An eternal love stretching further than all the stars scattered!
For the eyes do not lie and they always perceive yonder...
