What is this? A pain lingering within me. They say time heals, but it betrays. They don't get it, time prolongs pain's sway. I want it to end but it's proof that feeling remains. For forgetfulness I crave, but I yearn for the memory that stays
How do I escape a past when it made the future so bright? Haunted by whispers of love's faded ways, how do I love when the label 'friend' is a daunting light?
