F(R) Iend Poem by Bianca Free

F(R) Iend

A friend of mine is killing me
She hasn’t the faintest idea

When she talks, when she laughs
I slip into this numbing Hell

I don’t utter the news to her
Just the words she likes to hear

I lie awake at night
After she’s stolen all my dreams

My suffocated hopes hang with dangling feet
And I have no one to tell

A friend of mine keeps killing me
But I need her for some reason

Or maybe it’s she who needs me
For leeching when she’s dry
