Fable (An Animal In Taik-Pone) Poem by George Arkar

Fable (An Animal In Taik-Pone)

Like the stupid jackdaw in the fable
Thinking he can hide his true character just by dressing
In peacock feathers
Has tried our old tough to conceal his claws
With the help of finery.

But unlike him...
We, the people
Had to learn such stories when we were little
We, the people
Have grasped such stories since we were the little
And we, the people
Are capable of crafting the end of such stories in the finest.
