Facade Poem by Kaity Desrosiers

Facade

Facade of walls surround me,
Darkened my heart, and
Never to be still my soul.
I am beyond these constraints
That make voices within my head
Encroaching what may be,
Not what is me.
These lies, these lies
They approach me, but
I deny the lies.
The truth is within me.
These lies, these walls
Do not give me.
Away these walls,
And these lies!
My spirit loves me,
And for this
I thank me.

It is amazing. I am encouraging you and begging you to write more and more, and more. Put those words on the white paper. Write, write until you can write no more. I hope to follow my own advice.
