Face Poem by inris nas

Face

Rating: 4.0

One thing the people in this world can't bear even for a short while,
is when they can't, but you can effortlessly wear a smile

that irks them and even perks them to plot
devise means and scenarios to put you in slot

initially it will start as act of incoherent attack
realizing the futility, they suddenly start forming a pack

they, even the opposite ideologue, unite under Guise with reasons as flimsy as having a lone white hair in their beard
and with premises which, this specie since time of Neanderthal man might not have ever heard

then starts the innuendos and darts which at times ranges from being mean to being too sappy
but then it underlies their belief; your neighbor ought to be sad for you to be happy

how can one not conform and fit in the attire of social uniform, is their constant quip
reasons of your happiness or otherwise are always on their tip

to all those champions of cause,
this is my reply with a smiling pause
with ample clarity, without an iota of smudge,
my submission is let one be his own judge

look into your own mirror and decide your call
for once be true to yourself, let alone to all

but then, know that i know, what face puts you all off
i have decided whatsoever may come, this is what i shall always show off
