Face The Demons Poem by Jon M. Nelson

Face The Demons

In my past I must take a glance,
To realize where I took a stance,
And what was the circumstance,
To be able to give me this chance.

Just when I think I've lost all hope,
I will find it is harder to cope,
And I feel I just need to sit and mope,
When I think I'm at the end of my rope.

There are times I want to sit and cry,
And the feelings make me want to die.
Even when I continue to always try,
I'll eventually have to say goodbye.

So even as I face the demons head on,
I must continue until they're all gone.
And as I fight them with all my brawn,
They disappear when I wake at dawn.
