Faces Poem by Isabelle Cote

Faces

Rating: 5.0

Faces, looking up at me
the faces are all I see
their eyes, beging to be truly seen
as they watch me move past
greedily

In the eyes, i truly recall the pain
staying with the wind, battered by the rain
my imagination running wild
as i picture it
but i must leave
they won't let me be!

In those faces, i FELT alone
what it was like to be without a home
but do i truly know?
i've never lived to see the tale
the worst kind
of magic

Black.
Flooding me, until I find myself lost
in those faces
the face of loneliness
of near death
hoping for that death
and wishing for it

i wish to, but never can i forget
faces.
