Faces Poem by Cassandra Kinman

Faces

I look around and all I see
Are faces full, sorrow, anger, and jealousy.
I close my eyes in pain.
You come up behind me
And whisper in my ear
You're beautiful; you're wonderful;
And I love you.
I open my eyes,
And what do I see?
Faces so full of love
That sorrow and anger could not penetrate.
If they tried for ever and always.
