I was always there for you, a shoulder you could cry on
A friend you'd rely on
And it's a shame I couldn't see
That you were never there for me
But now you're gone
And I'm not sure where I belong
Oh, how I wish so tenderly
That you were still here with me
You're the one that I love
You took me higher than a dove
But once again, you're still gone
And I'm not sure where I belong
We never even had a fight
You just upped and left me over night
Without you here, after all is said
I'm painfully wishing I was dead
The day you left me alone right here
You took away all my cheer
I just wish you would've looked back
As you were going down the track
All I'm saying is, 'I miss you',
And 'I wish you'd miss me too'
But I can't change what’s dead and gone
As you fade away, and move along.
