Fading Memories Poem by Lindokuhle Dawordplaymind Nkosi

Fading Memories

I
Remember
The kisses and hugs we shared,
That created the memories of today,

The night
When we cuddled all night,
Sharing our dreams beyond the stars,
As we slept in the light of destiny,

The evening
We planted seeds of life
That we wait upon on today,
So we can reap fruits of hope.

For
Before the sunrise,
We would create magic.
But today, that is just an illusion.

Yesterday,
You told me you believed me.
Today you query my whereabouts,
Though every night we share a bed.

Love,
Let us grow from yesterday
While living today to its potential
And blossom for tomorrow.
