Failure Poem by Eynie Kohl

Failure

Rating: 4.8

Failure.
She told me.
Failure.
She called me.
And I left.

I looked up in the cloudy sky,
A whisper left my lips:
“I´m not,
she´s wrong.”
But then again,
It might just be hard to admit.

A tear might travel down my face,
When memory comes up again.
Why, mum?
That tear again…

They say family is the best,
For my mum I was failure.
They say that mum is always right,
So who am I to protest?

' especially loved the last two stanzas, no such mothers relatives attitudes are always wrong, we just need to find our space, learn to live in our skin, more love support belief in us helps, we need to be nurtured not put down and cursed with unrealistic perceptions of who we should be
