Fainéant Poem by Kristy Artmann

Fainéant

Rating: 5.0

New coworker arrives in the nick of time
Stalling complete mental breakdown
Not holding credentials as your own
Higher pay and less work
Slave away and no promotion
Kept hanging on for brighter days
Will observe my value when I give notice of departure?
Now it’s come to this fainéant existence
Little as I can without dismissal
Low morale until the end
Idle and lazy as the days pass by
Scorned with no appreciation for skills acquired and utilized
