Fairytale Romance Poem by Fatin Khalid

Fairytale Romance

When I was a girl, once upon a time
I read of fairytales, poetry and rhymes
What beautiful stories I gathered from all
Wishing it were true, it could happen in dreams of mine

If I were your Cinderella, and you were Prince Charming
Would you bring me my glass slipper?
Would you take me to your palace?
Would you dance with me beyond midnight?
And save me from all harm?

What if I were Snow White
And you be my prince
Would you save me from Death
With that precious, wonderful kiss?

Do not be my beast
But be the man of my fantasy
I'll let my hair down for you
So you could climb up to me

You'll then take me away
To where the stars never stop shining
And where the sun lights its rays
Where the dusk meets the day
Which the music will last forever
In our very own happy ever after
