when the darkness rolled in..
i was terrified.
too afraid to open my eyes.
too afraid that ill unlock my gate of guilt and pain
with one single thought and release it on myself......
thoughts of my life, of the pain and agony that i have been dealt.
those memories continuosly cover my skin.
reminding me of how im so weak.

but now the darkness means refuge.
refuge with You.
..i was too weak to stand up and face the day ahead,
too weak to face the pain in my heart..
too weak to trust, to hope, or to even feel.


sense You came into my life...
You have encouraged me to feel, and to trust
You have made me strong enought to face the pain,
strong enough to dance in the rain, and not fear the damage.
You see my scars and pain and
yet You still see the person i am behind them,
without judging me or scolding me in the process.

You are the only star in my night sky showing me the way, after needing light for so long....

You are my Faith in the darkness.
