Fakir Blesses A Newly Wedded Couple Poem by Sumita Jetley

Fakir Blesses A Newly Wedded Couple

Under the moonlit sky so bright,
By the river's gentle light,
A Sufi couple, newly wed,
In quiet devotion, gently led.

She in red saree, blouse so white,
He in dhoti, kurta light,
They sit by the river's serene flow,
Whispering dreams in the night's soft glow.

A breeze whispers through the trees,
Carrying prayers on the gentle breeze,
A serene Sufi joins the scene,
With calm and wisdom, eyes serene.

"Love is the purest form, " he said,
"Blessings felt, not just given head,
In each other, strength you'll find,
Stay true, stay kind, stay intertwined."

Hand in hand, hearts light and clear,
They walked away, their love sincere,
The river flowed, the moonlight stayed,
In blessings of love, their future laid.
