Fakir In A Concert Poem by Sumita Jetley

Fakir In A Concert

In Kolkata's warm embrace,
A Sufi finds his place,
In a hall where music flows,
And inner peace grows.

'Ekla Chalo Re' begins,
A song of strength within,
'If no one comes along,
Walk alone, stay strong.'

In solitude, he finds,
Peace and joy combined,
The rhythm of the tabla's beat,
And sitar's melody, sweet.

With closed eyes and smiling face,
He feels God's gentle grace,
Dhikr in his heart's core,
He knows he's alone no more.

As applause fills the air,
He opens his eyes, aware,
Of the journey he's on,
And the strength to carry on.

With gratitude, he leaves,
Knowing what he believes,
That in solitude, he sees,
The beauty of inner peace.
