Fakir Marries Anonymous Poem by Sumita Jetley

Fakir Marries Anonymous

I'll gift you a jade plant,
A token of your cheer.
She said, I'll gift you plants,
More than just one, my dear.

The Sufi in her smiled,
Amused by love so true.
For words, a smile so mild,
Can light the sky so blue.

They spoke of simple things,
Of hearts so pure and kind.
Like plants with gentle wings,
In love, they're intertwined.

A Sufi's heart is light,
It's kind, and always near.
It shines both day and night,
To friends, it's always clear.

Cut the words, my friend,
Your friend is waiting there.
In love, there is no end,
In simple acts, we care.
