Fakir Soofi Poem by Sumita Jetley

Fakir Soofi

In Delhi's heart, where chaos meets the calm,
Stands Nizamuddin's shrine, a soothing balm.
A Sufi saint, with wisdom vast and deep,
Whose love and teachings make our spirits leap.

He taught us souls can light another's way,
Like candles sharing flames, they do not sway.
Through acts of kindness, pure and bright,
We replicate our souls, spread love, ignite.

In yogic lore, the Atman seeks to find,
Its place within the Brahman, intertwined.
A journey of the soul, to realize,
We're part of something greater, vast as skies.

So let's embrace this wisdom, old yet new,
In every smile and deed, let's follow through.
Be like the saint, in every step and breath,
And replicate our souls, beyond life's death.
