Fakir Walks Path Poem by Sumita Jetley

Fakir Walks Path

In the heart of Lahore, where the city hums,
Lived Asim, a Sufi, to wisdom he succumbed.
Amidst the noise, his soul stayed serene,
Yet jealousy, a shadow, broke through the screen.

His friend Arif, with success so bright,
Sparked envy in Asim, a hidden fight.
He sought his murshid, wise and kind,
Who spoke of mirrors and the soul's confined.

'Jealousy, dear Asim, reflects your desires,
Acknowledge its presence, let it inspire.'
So Asim meditated, his heart laid bare,
He found his own dreams, tender with care.

No longer did he envy another's bloom,
He cultivated his garden, dispelled the gloom.
Jealousy, once a burden, now a guide,
Led him to joy, with gratitude beside.

His story spread, a beacon of light,
Embrace your feelings, let them take flight.
For in every emotion, a lesson profound,
In jealousy, the divine is found.

Asim's heart, now light as air,
Showed others the way, with wisdom to share.
From envy to enlightenment, his journey told,
A modern Sufi's path, with lessons of old.
