Falcon Poem by Pete Rivera

Falcon

Never knowing when
The falcon flies away
Till the end
And he doesn't care
What's up ahead
Or what tries to slow him down

Fauna in the woods
I would stop
If I only could
But you just don't want
To let me know
How I can make you smile

This time has gone to waste
But I'm never a moment too late
As long as you're on my mind
You know I'm all right
And one day wasn't enough
Cuz you know
This feeling I have for you
This feeling I like to call love

Diamonds by your ear
Listen closely, love
Can you hear?
I'm about to tell you something
And I really think
It will widen your eyes
Oh, you know it will
Widen up your eyes
And you won't say goodnight

This time has gone to waste
But I'm never a moment too late
As long as you're on my mind
And one day wasn't enough
Cuz you know
This feeling I have for you
This feeling I like to call love

Christmas Day, I hear
Is like Valentine's
Without the beer
But I can still smell
The wine in your breath
Don't try to cover it up
You know I don't care, love

This time has gone to waste
But I'm never a moment too late
As long as you're on my mind
And one day wasn't enough
Cuz you know
This feeling I have for you
This feeling I like to call love

One, two, three, four
Knocking on your door
I wait awhile
To see you smile
And it just makes my day
Cuz you know I can say
And one day wasn't enough
You know this feeling I have for you
This feeling I like to call love
