Fall From Grace Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Fall From Grace

Fall from Grace

Pants black, shirt black, right in size
She fooled me and stole heart and mind
Chirps fresh, pearl smiles.

No, No, No…

Cheaters I, my dumb eyes
We agreed and approved the lust’s want:
“She is fine, and the one.”

So we talked, chit-chatted; cracked jokes
When time ripe I hammered right on dot.

As a man and devil had the bonds
Walked her to the right path:
“We like…want…”

Physical men, women, and our needs
On matter, to extent, we agreed.

Ran clock and came time
Talk of home, rest, address:
“So far nice he has been…”
To secret she confessed.

Jet plane, I crashed.
My mirror fell flat
Shrapnel in my heart:
“She has dog.”

Now she is my friend, I am caught
Honestly: “pain in butt”.

Once more time I proved:
“In choosing I am dumb.”
For loser, one more loss.
