Fallen Poem by Brandon Brasher

Fallen

Today is the day I must fall.
I hear the voices in my head.
No sight only sound.
It comes from the darkest shadows of your mind.
Creeping through like a thief, stealing your thoughts.
Never caring if you feel or not.
Always taking what does not belong to them.
My thoughts are now covered with hate and greed.
What is this that I have become.
I smile no more nor do I feel.
Where does this enemy come from.
Why does it eat at my every thought.
I feel confused and lost in the mist of time.
I see it now, its dark and fleshy.
Its strips my mind like a wolf.
I have fallen in to maddness.
No turning back now, I am unstopable.
Nothing can touch me now.
Then I wake, its only a dream.
Until I see my own body laying there.
I have fallen, no longer able.
My test is complete.
