Fallen Poem by India Wallace

Fallen

Midnight black wings
Glossy feathers
Bloodied and Bruised
Seeping dark liquid

Twisted and Broken
Lying face down
In plain view
But never to be acknowledged

Smashed on the outside
Destroyed on the inside
Black heart and soul
Too ashamed to move

Once flying high
Through the darkening sky
Now forever restricted
To staying on the earth
Living a half life

It's a long way to fall,
A fall from grace
And you shall forever
Feel out of place
Among the happy, the strong, the beautiful

Midnight balck wings
Glossy feathers
Bloodied and Bruised
Seeping dark liquid

It's not very often
That you see
A Fallen Angel
