Fallen Angel Poem by Margo Reid

Fallen Angel

used to passed everyone,
With a smile on my face,
Walk with my head straight up
I used to love singing the song of grace.
I used to say, “Hello” to everyone
Walk by and smile,
I used to finish my work, then say, “Job well done! ”
Then sit down and chat for a while.

I used to walk with my hands waving high
Staring around,
I was looking in the sky
It felt like I was off the ground,
I was waving to everyone bye-bye!
I used to soar with eagles everywhere,
I was FREE-SPIRITED, HAPPY AND LOVING
It felt like; I was one of them, except I was an Angel form into a DOVE,
breathing the fresh air,

I try to fight a battle I could not win
Then I turn the other way
I begun to sin
Then I could not soar in the sky the next day.
I was now, “A Fallen Angel with no where to go.”
Because my wings were broken,
And I would not flow,
God has spoken!
“Margo you disobeyed me,
And that’s why your wings are broken,
And you will NEVER fly free,

“Margo you have to do what is right,
And try to built up what is left of you,
It can’t take one night
And do what you must do.”
“The time you have is precious,
So live everyday as if it was your last,
Make it counts
And when you do
I will MEND THOSE BROKEN WINGS BACK FOR YOU.”
