Falling Poem by Mark Hopwood

Falling

There's not one star up in the sky
They've all disappeared into the black
The sky looks as empty as my life
I want my soul back.

My hands are empty
My heart cries in pain
I'm falling fast
Like a spiraling aeroplane
I need to be saved
As I sit here alone
I wish my heart would beat fast
Not be like this, this crumbling stone.

So i look at the sky as I think and dream
But my head is melting like its made of ice cream
I feel so cold and the isolation is gripping
I try to hold back the tears but feel my hold slipping.
